Formula
EMI uses the standard reducing-balance formula. Total interest = EMI ร months โ principal. GST = 18% ร interest. Net extra cost = interest + GST โ merchant discount.
Example
โน60,000 at 15% over 12 months has interest of roughly โน5,000 and GST of ~โน900 โ even a 'no-cost' offer leaves you paying the GST.
