SWP Calculator — Systematic Withdrawal Plan
A Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP) lets you withdraw a fixed sum from your mutual fund corpus every month — perfect for retirement income. Use our SWP Calculator to see how long your corpus lasts.
Formula
Each month: balance = balance × (1+i) − withdrawal, until balance hits zero or tenure ends.
Example
₹10 lakh corpus, withdraw ₹10,000/month, 8% return → corpus lasts ≈ 18 years.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is SWP taxed?
Each withdrawal is partly capital gains and partly principal. Only the gains portion is taxed (LTCG / STCG based on holding period and fund type).
